Just one rule so far in Crypto:

Bitcoin is King. Everything else comes and goes.

* Although ETH is starting to push that rule, and looks more like the Silver to BTC representing Gold.

Therefore, when looking into enter the market either in BTC or an Alt Coin, a few charts should be referenced first.

1. The Ratio of Crypto Market Cap that is referenced by Bitcoin – when BTC’s share of the crypto market drops, typically it suggests that Alt Coins prices are artificially boosted due to speculation.
2. When looking to enter a particular coin, the ratio of that coin’s price to BTC is essential. The higher that ratio, the less likely I would want to enter that particular coin.

Here are a few interesting charts below. But remember that this is a speculators game, and I would only participate in this market for “fun”, and restrict an overall allocation to crypto to – lets say- 10% or so? You decide. (And dont judge me because I’m already allocating more than that!)
